My dog, Noodle, has some kind of skin condition. My dad and I need to bathe her pretty regularly with a prescription shampoo. She hates it.

The UFO Club of Virginia Beach
A few weeks ago, my friend Paige had seen a flyer for the monthly meeting of the UFO Club of Virginia Beach- you could tell it was popular because all of the phone number tabs had been ripped off. We came to the back meeting room of the Kempsville Public Library and listened to this man's stream-of-consciousness sermon- it covered everything from contact with a shrouded mechanized being touching his belly (possibly causing cancer decades later) to contact with Will Smith (causing only happiness). Here's some highlights.

Thanksgiving Vignette
A good exercise for me. Usually my people are distorted, radiating, or just weird looking. This was meant as a foray into subtlety. That's a tough game- I think particularly that frame where my mom is picking up the statuette and the phone is buzzing and the voice is speaking- it's just too much information and it kind of short-circuits the brain. Timing- that is a wrestling move I'm learning.

"Where Are My Keys"
I've begun work on my longest and most energy-soaked comic yet. In "Where Are My Keys" the search for lost house-keys is twisted into a metaphysical odyssey. Our protagonist, a naked cowboy in a claustrophobic apartment, just wants to go out. We, the readers, transcend time and space, delving into his memories- into the desperate searches of his past. Memory, reality, and absurdity shall collide.

New Comic Excerpt!
In the forthcoming Chromazoid anthology, I've included a 16 page comic- narrated by a distressed dog. It's called "The Fur". I will give you a little taste right here- the first 4 pages- but soon you'll get the whole paranoia-soaked pie, in glorious full-color print.

I DIP MY TOES IN
I have previously been too disorganized to get any of my drawings online- instead, their only future was within badly-made folders of newsprint and tape, smudging. That sad day is over.
I am working on a couple of projects that I'll post soon- but for now, I'm trying to make a comic or drawing a day- probably about everyday situations, arranged in strange ways.
